We wait....

the baking has been done (23 tsourekia - many to be given away), the cooking (one more leg of lamb - for all those co-workers who requested some), the eggs have been died, my Paschal table runner has been finished (made it all by myself!), the decorations have been put out (front entrance way, guest bathroom, dining room, and kitchen), the lantern for bringing home the Holy Light has been prepped, our Paschal Baskets have been assembled....and we wait....we wait to leave our house in silence with hearts full of gratitude that we have been allowed by GOD to celebrate His Son's Glorious Resurrection once again this year....we wait to hear the Wonderful News of Eternal Life for those of us who are the lowliest sinners and betrayers....we wait of the Joy we will bring into our home when we return...

It is quiet...and we wait.

23 tsourekia?! Wow, you surpassed us. We had about half a dozen loaves.

do you use the packets of Greek dye for your eggs? Is there a local place that sells is?

those moments before the Pascal service are some of the most amazing of the year, aren't they?!
